THINGS I THINK

out there for the world to see

About imageAbout image
As the youngest of 4 girls, who grew up and had 4 boys, I spent a great deal of my adult life confused and saying things like, "don't put lunchmeat on your face."

I fought hard not to normalize things that I couldn't understand - like having to enter the bathroom the same way you would a minefield (but still somehow always falling victim to the boys' poor aim), the adrenaline rush of plunging that unexpected extra inch onto the cold porcelain because the seat was left up again, and having a permanent pile of laundry labeled "too dirty to wash." But I lost all of those battles, eventually gave in, and only got involved if there was blood or fire. In the process, I got a lot happier - and so did everyone around me.

Now, nearing 40 years of marriage and on the other side of that blessed chaos, I have more time to reflect on all that I've experienced and learned. Some of my blogs include those insights, and some are just for the pure fun of it. (I am a youngest child, after all!)

Strong family bonds, a sense of adventure, a love for writing, and a passion for life guide my words. These paragraphs reflect my heart.

Enjoy.

At 60 years old and the youngest of 4 kids I'm keenly aware of how rare it is to still have both of my parents. And the older I get the more I realize just how hard they worked to arrive at this stage of life together. Enjoy this ode to Neil and Marilyn Pagni - a truly special couple.
